MozartNu 1986-2008 is a movement-based stage production directed by Iago Pericot, about the simultaneous beauty as a ritual of confusion. In 1986, Iago Pericot premiered a stage production based on Wolfang Amadeus Mozart’s Coronation Mass, under the same name, showing the beauty of human relationships. Now, this new work spins around two simultaneous set-ups in a single space-time showing how these relationships have changed over time. For the first time in the history of the stage, a single structure is used as the basis for two different stagings. Until Einstein developed his theory of relativity, it was generally believed that simultaneity was an absolute notion, that is, if one observer perceives two actions to be simultaneous, they will be so for all observers. In MozartNu, a past and a present coincide on stage, affecting the audience’s perception and, with intrinsic force, the confusion that exists in today’s world. artistic director and original concept_iago pericot | |||
