Hamlet, the Prince of Denmark, becomes aware of a plot surrounding the assassination of his father and involving his mother and uncle, the brother of the dead king. The new king, Claudius, married to Gertrude, becomes the object of Hamlet’s attempt at revenge. This creates a confrontation between the possibilities of suicide and murder.The production follows the main lines and scenes of Shakespeare’s tragedy, but the actors come on and go off the stage as if it were a rehearsal which, at the same time, is also a performance.
