As each September since six years ago, Asia comes to Barcelona. Asian colour, aroma and sensibility are to fill this city from September 12th to 16th, throughout the most comprehensive show of Asian culture, the Festival Àsia, organized by Casa Àsia. The guest country for this sixth edition is South Korea, and the programme will encompass shows from fifteen Asian and Pacific countries. Dancing, theatre, music played by very different kind of artists as well as performances where the audience will be invited to participate. We will be able to watch films and documentaries never shown before here and dance along with the best djs from Asia, whilst admiring from the West both the most traditional and the most contemporary Eastern arts. Once again there will be workshops -from kites and fresh flowers to henna, pottery, sufi meditation... - and other manifestations, games and tales for children and, of course, the mandatory presence of gastronomy. All and all, the festival will comprise over sixty activities, most of them free, with venues scattered around places such as Mercat de les Flors, Institut del Teatre, Fundació Joan Miró, CaixaFòrum, Apolo's Sala 2, and Margarida Xirgu square.
