The Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (ACCD), a body of the Catalan autonomous community government that operates under the Department de la Vicepresidència de la Generalitat de Catalunya, commissioned MOM Produccions to conceive, design and produce the First Festa de la Cooperació Catalana a civic event that took place on October 6th 2007 at Barcelona's CiutadellaPark. The aim of the Festa was to raise public awareness of the Agency’s activities, as well as those of other organisations working in the areas of cooperation and development in Catalonia. Using innovative structures placed along the park's central avenue, lined with lime trees, MOM Produccions created a series of spaces that housed the stalls of various institutions, non-government organisations, foundations and other bodies working in international cooperation. The event included numerous related activities, including a main stage for musical performances throughout the day, a play area, restaurant service, readings of manifestos... overall, it was a comprehensive activity targeted a broad audience that offered something for everybody, with the participation of all kinds of artists, which brought together thousands of people throughout the day.
