Producer_ Isabel Requena
With the participation of _ Joan de Sagarra

In December of 1936, Josep Maria de Sagarra left Marseille in the company of his wife and headed to the South Seas in search of a paradise lost. Aboard the Commisaire Rammel, they left a self-destructing Europe behind. The experience of this journey, which took them to Polynesia and the Caribbean, became the basis for his work La Ruta Blava.

From the port of Marseille, the documentary La Ruta Blava sets out for modern-day Polynesia, Panama and the Caribbean on a visually stunning journey, full of fascinating natural and human landscapes. Joan de Sagarra, the poet's son and a renowned journalist, serves as a deluxe tour guide on this journey, which contrasts the description of the ancient romantic myths present in the original piece with the constant utopia that is the search for paradise
